Something very unexpected happens after the opening of Kedarnath yatra, even the priests, news channels, and no one are expecting that this much amount of devotees came for the darshan on the opening day itself, Not even in a century, this happens before!
A record of 25073 devotees came on the opening day of Kedarnath yatra, which sets a new record in the history of the visitors on a single day at any holy place.
Kedarnath, which is situated at an elevation of 11500ft above sea level, gets the highest number of devotees since the tragedy happens in 2013. Its gates are open from the 29th of April and it got the highest number of devotees since then, even after 2015 it got its status improved at a new high.
The number of devotees is increasing day by day after the opening and for the entire season also. On 14th may, 2013 around 8000 pilgrims had visited after the opening of doors of the yatra. And until 14th June they are increasing and crossed more than 3 lakhs visitors who visit Kedarnath. But after the tragedy happens on 16/17 June the shrine got silent for more than 3 months!
After that on, 11 September 2013, the gates of the shrine open once again and the new chapter of the Kedarnath baba yatra has been started. On that day around 100 devotees perform the Jal Abhishek of lord Aushotosh. After that, the journey continues as follows. After that in next year when the gate was opened in April, only 100 devotees came for darshan and after that around 48000 pilgrims visit Kedarnath during the whole journey that year.
In the year 2015, the gates of Dham reopen on the 24th of April and many popular personalities done Kedarnath Yatra By helicopter including Rahul Gandhi, Jatin Patel, Ambika Soni, Former CM Harish Rawat, and around 8000 devotees appears on the day of opening. In the year 2017 around 10,000 pilgrims visited the Dham including prime minister Narendra Modi.
The CEO of Kedarnath Badrinath Temple Committee BD Singh said that around 25,000 devotees had visited for the first time on the opening day of the yatra and it becomes the record. He also added that for the first time in the 19th century many of the shiva devotees not visited the temple. And many of the devotees also preferred the Kedarnath yatra by helicopter or do Dham yatra by helicopter because of the tragedy most of the devotees want to do the yatra in the short period of time!

Yamunotri is the place of goddess Ganga. From here the Yamuna river originates. It is the seat of Goddess Ganga and visited by millions of pilgrims every year. It is 19km from Gaumukh from where the river Ganga originates and its glacier melts and goes to Gangotri, then it meets with its tributaries Alaknanda and Bhagirathi.
The Gangotri temple opens at 6:30am- 2 pm and 3 pm-9:30 pm which opens every day from the first week of may till Diwali.

If you are planning for the Chota Chardham Yatra then you must have to know the right time when you have to visit as It opens in May, so most of the pilgrims decided to go in the first Month. And make a blunder mistake because in the opening month there is so much rush and due to this there is packed road all around. After that, if you are planning to go in the month of July and august you face heavy rainfall and landslide there if you are by road, but if you are planning to go Chardham yatra by helicopter 2020 you can go! The yatra is challenging or difficult also due to varying weather or poor road conditions that make the pilgrimages strenuous and difficult. But the varying weather is the challenging part, as in the night the temp.
